Help for Heroes Aconcagua
![]()
From Simon Eagon
Having successfully climbed Kilimanjaro in 2007 with two other guys, Dave Cox and Charlie Grieves-Cook, I was keen to have a greater challenge for my 60th and thought that Aconcagua, at nearly 23,000 feet above sea level, would fit the bill. My two fellow high altitude trekkers have also agreed to come but they did want me to emphasise that they were not 60 or anything like it! Anyhow, following my double hernia operation in September my training schedule is very much back on track. Departing UK on 2 January we should, weather and everything else permitting, summit on 16th January.
Our Servicemen and women thoroughly deserve our support especially those who are injured in combat and, hence, we felt that the very least we could do was to raise some money for Help for Heroes.
By donating something you will be showing these young men and women that you care too.
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and thank you for supporting our cause.

Guys this isn't a walk around the block this is a serious climb and since it's by members of the Corps and for Help For Heroes one, of our favoured charities, I and the Aldershot branch who have already donated £100 fully endorse this cause. Please, Please click on the link and send a donation no matter how little as it all adds up to help the Servicemen and Women who need our help.
Yours in anticipation Joe
